Wardruna
The sound of runes becoming music. The ancient that meets the contemporary, nature that awakens what is deepest in the human soul.
Under the stars of Montelago comes Wardruna, the Norwegian band that has enchanted the world with its personal interpretation of Nordic and folk music.
Extraordinary in their use of traditional instruments and also other sound sources such as wood, stone, bone, water and fire, the seven musicians compose lyrics in ancient Norse and give life to evocative soundscapes, creating music that connects the most distant and primordial past with the present, giving it new life.
On the Main Stage, in addition to the historical soundtracks of the successful Vikings series, they will present their recently released sixth album, ‘Birna’, meaning ‘bear’ in Norse, a work of art dedicated to the figure of this animal once guardian of the forest and its battles here on earth, which immediately grabbed the covers of the specialised press around the world.
Spiritual, regenerating, cathartic. Get ready for a concert that you don't hear, but feel, a music that you experience and live. Nothing will ever be the same afterwards.
