Peatbog Faeries
Hailing from the Isle of Skye, the band has pushed the boundaries of its homeland's music beyond all imaginable limits, combining traditional Scottish melodies with everything from dance to electronica, jazz to rock to Afro. A glorious blend that from the UK has toured the world: Australia, Canada, the United States, Singapore, Borneo, Namibia, Botswana, Mexico and Azerbaijan are just some of the countries in which it has performed in its 34-year history. On stage, after all, the Peatbog Faeries multiply their energy, captivating the audience with dynamic and breathtaking jigs and reels.
Two-time winners of the Scots Trad Music Live Act of the Year Award, in 2023 they released ‘I see a world’ - seventh studio album after the acclaimed debut with ‘Blackhouse’ in 2015 - born from the collaboration with great musicians from the British scene such as Krishna Kishor, Gina Rae and Helena Kay.
On the Main Stage the Peatbog Faeries will bring an explosive production of light design and musical innovation, the kind destined to occupy a special place in the annals of Montelago.
