Kalandra

Norway
August 9th at 9:15 p.m.
Main Stage

Ethereal melodies and gritty guitars, raw and disturbing musical landscapes, a sound that embraces the most melancholic Nordic notes and moves organically between progressive, pagan folk and post-rock. The Kalandra make their official entry into Festival history with the concert of concerts, the one that, when the bonfires are lit, marks the beginning of the mythical Celtic night.
As evocative and spiritual as they are deep into the darkness of the senses, the Scandinavian band with millions of views on YouTube, became famous for having composed and performed two tracks on the soundtrack of the HBO series ‘Beforeigners’ and the soundtrack of the famous video game ‘Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands’.
2024's “A Frame of Mind” is their second studio album following their debut, “The Line” in 2020. It is an introspective journey full of memories and suggestions that brings to light the mood of their music, while shifting the centre of gravity forward to new heights.

Katrine Ødegård Stenbekk: vocals
Jogeir Daae Maeland: guitar
Florian Bernhard Döderlein Winter: guitar
Oskar Johnsen Rydh: drums
