The band's journey begins in the summer of 2021 with the desire to delve into folk music and experience great adventures!
Unsheathing ancient battle instruments, Valkanorr cleave the air with bagpipe notes and make the earth tremble with drum rumbles, offering original melodies and revisiting songs from the medieval, Celtic and Occitan tradition.
Their first album ‘Di Fuoco e Terra’ (Of Fire and Earth) was released in 2024: eight previously unreleased tracks intertwining mystical atmospheres, pulsating rhythms and ballads for big parties in front of the fire.
However, it is in live music that the band really manages to express itself and convey its essence: whether it is an acoustic performance at a medieval fair, an amplified show on a stage, or a free performance in the streets of the city, Valkanorr are always ready to pick up their instruments and make their way through the crowd to explode their energy!
